Starting an Atomic Program
Why run an Atomic Volleyball program?
Atomic Volleyball is an outstanding program to get children age 6-12 an early introduction into the game of volleyball. Atomic Volleyball provides earlier opportunity to develop a love of the sport, enhances skill success in the future, and is a great way for children to get involved in a safe and fun program in your community!
Who runs Atomic Volleyball?
You do! As a club, community organization, or school, you already have access to gym space and coaches or instructors. Many successful youth programs use parent volunteers or older athletes to carry out the drills and games from the Atomic manual.
The Atomic Volleyball manual comes fully illustrated with simple weekly lesson plans for a large group of athletes. A volunteer with little volleyball knowledge could carry out the drills with confidence and ease. All the instructor requires is a passion to help children develop volleyball skills and a love of the sport!
Benefits of Hosting Atomic Volleyball in your Club, Organization or School?
· Future Athletes: As a grassroots program, it acts as a great feeder system for your club or school teams. Athletes participating in this program are more likely to play volleyball in the future.
· Leadership and coaching certification opportunities: Having your club or school’s older athletes act as instructors can provide excellent leadership experience for them, and could also be used in conjunction with obtaining their Level 1 coaching certification.
· Advertising: Each Atomic program will be advertised on the SVA website. The programs will be listed by region and will display your club’s contact information.
Cost
The minimal cost to run an Atomic Volleyball program makes this program a great fundraising opportunity for your community. Please contact the SVA for further information on the cost of running your own Atomic Volleyball program.
