NEW 2011 SVA Recreation Division

In addition to the Traditional Age Class Competitive Division, SVA is very proud to offer athletes wanting to play volleyball on Club Teams another option this year -- a NEW Recreational Division!

The new Recreational division has been created to fall in line with Saskatchewan Volleyball’s initiative to promote volleyball throughout all levels of competition. This alternative is ideal for busy families and/or multi-sport athletes who cannot commit to practice more than once per week and/or travel to a lot of tournaments.  The new level of competition will allow players to continue to develop their volleyball skills and play in some tournaments without the higher level of time and financial commitment.

These recreational teams will only be required to attend one tournament (as opposed to two tournaments for the Competitive teams) between January and April in order to be eligible to participate in Recreational Provincials.  Recreation teams may attend any sanctioned tournaments that fit with their teams schedule.  A list of tournaments can be found HERE.

A minimum of 8 teams in an age class is required for the Recreation Division to run.  SVA is offering 14UW, 15UW, 16UW and 17U/18UW combined category for the 2011 season.
