Insurance
Who is Covered?
All executives, emloyees, coaches, managers, officials, volunteers and member athletes. (All those registered with the Saskatchewan Volleyball Association).
Why Liability Insuance?
Your participation in Volleyball opens you to the possibility of civil action from Third Parties. You may not be liable but you will need to be defended in court. A Liability policy pays for this defence as well as any costs found against you. Legal fees can be very expensive, and this is an affordable way to have them covered. This policy covers your legal liability for bodily injury to or damage to property of others such as spectators, passersby, property owners, and others resulting from your activities. In addition, your legal liability for injury to participants is covered.
Activities Covered
- All SVA events - SVA ASICS Cup and Provincial Championships.
- All events, leagues, etc., carrying the SVA Sanction, as well as all training activities authorized by the SVA. It also extends to transportation to and from an SVA Sanctioned event, leagues etc. providing there are 2 or more members of the team in the vehicle.
- Liquor related events must be submitted in writing to the SVA office to be covered under this policy.

It is important to note that coverage will only respond to a situation where an injury took place. ie) when active in a sport, if your glasses fall and break as a result of quick movement, no coverage is in force. If you get hit in the face and suffer an injury and your glasses break, coverage will respond (Subject to the terms and conditions of the policy).
