**Important** Roster and Birthdate Checks

Important Information!

Please note that the following motions were made at the board meeting on February 7, 2010

1.    That following the roster deadline freeze, the Saskatchewan Volleyball Association has the option to check all rosters for duplicate users.

What this means for you?            If you are an athlete (or are coaching athletes) who is (are) playing on multiple teams through the club season, you must choose 1 (one) team to play on during provincials.  All athletes are allowed to attend only 1 (one) Provincial and National Championship in their age class or the age class for which they are playing for, and cannot attend 2 (two) or more Provincial and National Championship events.

2.    The Saskatchewan Volleyball Association, at anytime, has the option to check for proof of birthdates and compare against the submitted roster.

What this means for you?            All athletes on the roster must be of the birth year stated or younger.  You must have a minimum of 2 players from the older age category if you are playing up.  Proof of birth will be checked using the following identification: Saskatchewan Health Card, Passport, Drivers License and/or Birth Certificate; originals and / or clear photocopies will be acceptable.  
Please note: For 2010 Provincials, birth dates will be checked using the following format: the top 5 (five) teams in EACH competition class (according to the results of the most recent Asics Cup prior to the Provincial Championship), plus 4 (four) additional teams to be selected at random.  Teams who are selected at random will be required to supply proof of birth date of each athletes prior to your first match.
