What is Mini Volley?
Mini Volley The goal of Mini-Volley is enhance opportunities for children to play, have fun and experience success in volleyball at any age. Mini-Volley maximizes the number of times each student contacts the ball, provides a variety of different ways to contact the ball so that they may better adapt to the game, and promotes success based on varying degrees of ability.
Who is the Target Audience?
The program is idea for students Grades 1-6 but may include Kindergarten and Grades 7-8.
What are the Key Components?
- Lighter and softer balls
- Utilizing catching and tossing to enhance ball control and lengthen rallies.
- Instructor’s Guide provides detailed drills and games that make it easy to implement.
- Three stages – Initiation, Development, and Proficiency enhance success of all participants.
How is the Program Delivered?
Either through a clinic at your school delivered through an SVA instructor, or by a club coach or school teacher.The Mini Volley Instructor’s Guide is an easy to follow guide that includes visual and written descriptions as well as a DVD Guide to running the program. The Guide also includes a sample lesson plan that may be followed exactly or altered to suit your school’s needs.

Option A: The Mini Volley Instructor’s Guide uses both visual and written description and includes a DVD of the drills making it easy for any teacher to use in their Phys. Ed. Classes! The Mini Volley Instructor’s Guide and DVD are available from SVA for a cost of $75.
Option B: Have a facilitator come to your school and teach the Mini Volley program in your Phys. Ed classes. There are options for a half day, full day, or multiple days. Prices include a Mini-Volley Instructor’s Guide, DVD, and two balls to keep…
· Multiple Full Days ($150/day before March 31st, 2012, $250/day plus mileage after)
· Full Day ($150 before March 31st, 2012, $250 plus mileage after)
· Half Day ($75 before March 31st, 2012, $150 after plus mileage)
