18U Over Age Rule
Athletes who are born one year too early for the 18U competition category and who are currently in their first year of Grade 12 shall be eligible to compete in the 18U National Championships provided they have not been held back a year at any time during their schooling. Teams shall not have more than 2 over-age players.
Over-age athletes need to meet all of the regular eligibility requirements for National Championship participation. Decisions on the eligibility of over-age athletes will be determined by the volleyball provincial/territorial associations within the province or territory in which the athlete resides. Saskatchewan Volleyball is following this rule for our 18U age class teams and these athletes are eligible to compete in all SVA events providing they qualify.
