Tournament Structure

a) There will be no specialization of positions, ie. no switching to a differnet position from your service order.  Whoever happens to be in position #3 (or position #2, as designated on the score sheet) in your service reception will be hte designated setter for that rotation.

Seeding

In order to comply with the principles within the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Model, we will not be awarding any points at any tournaments for athletes in the 13U age groups. “During competitions, athletes may play to win and do their best, but the major focus of training is on learning basic volleyball skills and tactics and successfully applying those skills and tactics in competitive situations as opposed to actual competition success” (Volleyball For Life, 2006, pg. 17).

For the Provincial Championships, teams may select whether they would like to play in Division 1 or Division 2. At Provincials, the re-pool structure system will be in effect, as there will be no basis for seeding.
