Annual Award Nominations

Sask Volleyball Members are encouraged to nominate individuals for the following awards.  Please complete the form by listing your nominees for each award.  In addition, please attach a write-up that describes, in detail, the accomplishments of your nominee.  This is your opportunity to recognize people who you feel have made a contribution to volleyball in Saskatchewan.

  1. Sask Volleyball Service Award – Those individuals who have made a special contribution to the sport of volleyball in a non-competitive capacity.
  2. Sask Volleyball  Marlene Hoffman Volunteer Award – intended for individual(s) who have donated their time and efforts to the promotion and development of volleyball within their local community.
  3. Performance Coach of the Year – Male Team
  4. Performance Coach of the Year – Female Team
  5. Development Coach of the Year – Male Team
  6. Development Coach of the Year – Female Team
  7. Indoor Athletes of the Year – 16U, 17U, 18U, and 21U Male and Female
  8. Beach Athletes of the Year – Youth and Adult Male and Female
  9. Laurie Ann Leier Memorial Award – presented to the province’s graduating female athlete who best exemplifies athletic and academic achievements of excellence.
  10. Darcey Busse Memorial Award – presented to the province’s graduating male athlete who best exemplifies athletic and academic achievements of excellence.

Referee Scholarship Application

The annual Sask Volleyball Referee Committee Scholarship is awarded to the high school senior(s) and/or current college student(s) who best meet the requirements set forth by the Scholarship Committee. Scholarship awards are limited to cover tuition and fees.

Award amounts are at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee but will not be less than $500.

Applications must be received by May 15, 2019.
